Q: What’s your best tip for keeping your ‘cut cool this summer?
A: We’re from Austin, and we keep it hot in Texas — especially in the summer. As rock star as it is to let the locks flow, taking off a few inches or thinning it out helps you keep it cool and fresh during the summer. Style it up a bit, throw on a new shirt, and you’re ready to go.
#SXSW Hair - We ran into the band @Lovebettie on the streets of Austin. Their lead singer, Alexandra’s extreme hair (which we love!) caught our attention. Alexandra takes 15 minutes to do her hair in the morning. She gets her hair cut as needed, but never all at once. She also updates her color every two weeks or so.

#SXSW Hair - Xavier fronts the Parisian rock band, Gush. His long hair and hat caught our eye but Gush’s music got us hooked.
#SXSW Hair - Short hair is a simple way for guys to beat the heat and cut down on hair maintenance/grooming. Nahir keeps it short to avoid ‘helmet head’ from his motorcycle helmet.
#SXSW Hair - We liked this classic, swept back style with the bright orange color on top to make it pop. The gold-rimmed glasses were also a cool touch.
